Risotto base - add other ingredients

Recipe Ingredients for Risotto Base

185 ml evaporated milk, light
1 cup risotto rice
1 small onion
1/2 stock cube, vegetable
370 ml water

Recipe Directions for Risotto Base

  1. chop onion

  2. cook in a little water until tender

  3. add rice, stirring occassionally

  4. add milk, stock cube, water

  5. - add other uncooked ingredients as desired

  6. bring to boil

  7. simmer for 15-20 mins

  8. If adding raw foods, add before bringing to the boil.

  9. Add foods that do not require a lot of cooking after it has come to the boil.

  10. For cooked foods (ie: frozen peas) add 10 mins before end of cooking time
