Recipe Ingredients for rigatoni meat sauce

36 oz Sausage, Italian, Sweet, Links
32 oz Ground Beef
48 oz Tomato Puree
24 oz Tomato Sauce
16 oz Tomato Paste
1 oz Basil, Dried
1 oz Oregano, Ground
1 oz Parsley, Dried

Recipe Directions for rigatoni meat sauce

sear sausage links in heavy frying pan, drain fat and set aside while browning ground beef seasoned with garlic salt, salt and pepper (grandma adds an evelope of onion soup mix too, shh) after meat is completely browned and most of the fat has cooked off add two cans each of tomatoe puree, tomatoe sauce, and tomatoe paste, rinse the cans with water tossing back and forth over the pot of sauce to get every drop of tomatoe into the pot. then, cover the surface of the sauce with parsley and stir into sauce then cover the surface of the sauce again with a combination of equal parts basil and oregano and stir into the sauce, Add sausage links whole (or cut into coins) into the pot of sauce, lower heat to a simmer and cover the pot stirring every half hour or so. Cook overnight with equal parts water to tomatoe or at least six hours with minimal water. Feel free to add any leftover cooked meat (pork chops or steak pieces) to the pot to additionally flavor the sauce
