it depends how much u want to make, honestly I make it just the way I like it, I put some oil in a pan, chap onion, and fry it, then add chapped carrots, tomatoes and red pepper, leave it to fry for like 10 minutes on a med heat and then add rice. Add salt and black pepper, and then add add water , it should cover the rice by like 1 inch. Leave it on the medium heat and cover it with a lead, check it in like 15-20 min, if rice is not done and the water is low, add more water.
