Recipe Ingredients for Rice and Sauteed Mushrooms

3 cups water
1 cup brown rice
2 cups mushrooms, canned
1 cup onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic
1/4 cup chopped parsley
1/4 teaspoon thyme leaves, dried
1/4 cup almonds, slivered

Recipe Directions for Rice and Sauteed Mushrooms

  1. Combine in a large saucepan: Water and Rice. Bring to boil, stir and cover, heat until rice is cooked.

  2. Add and cook, stirring, until lighlt browned, 5 to 8 minutes: Mushrooms and Onions.

  3. Add spices.

  4. Stir in cooked rice. Cover and cook until heated through. If desired sprinkle with almonds.
