Recipe Ingredients for rice porridge

1 cup brown rice
4 cups chicken broth
5 cups water
2 tbsp fresh ginger
6 cloves minced garlic
8 oz shrimp
1 cup clams
4 oz raw squid

Recipe Directions for rice porridge

  1. mix first 5 ingredients in a large pot (add salt and pepper if so desired)

  2. bring to a boil over medium heat

  3. turn down heat, cover and let simmer for 1.5 hours

  4. after 1 hour, add the seafood

  5. when finished garnish with tiny strips of fresh ginger, sesame seeds, a few drops of toasted sesame seed oil, chopped scallions and salt and pepper
