Something that is quick and my kids like.Better for Lunch because of carb count.

Recipe Ingredients for Rice and Baked Beans

1 lb ground turkey,93% fat-free
1/2 onion,chopped
1 green bell pepper,chopped
14 ounce pineapple,unsweetened in juice,crushed
14 ounce baked beans
2 cups water
2 cups instant rice

Recipe Directions for Rice and Baked Beans

  1. Brown 1 lb ground turkey (you can use beef if you like),rinse to help remove any remaining fat. Set aside.

  2. Cook the onion and green bell pepper in skillet until they become softer.

  3. Return the meat to the skillet with the onion and bell pepper. Add the whole can of pineapple and baked beans to the skillet.

  4. Add water to skillet and bring to a boil. After everything comes to a boil,add in the rice stir and turn the heat off. Give the rice about 5 mins to absorb the liquid.
