Easy crisp using fresh ingredients

Recipe Ingredients for Rhubarb Strawberry Crisp

1 lb rhubarb
1 lb strawberries
2/3 c honey
1 c brown sugar
1/2 c butter
1 1/2 c rolled oats
2/3 c flour
1 T cinnamon
1/4 c flaxseed meal

Recipe Directions for Rhubarb Strawberry Crisp

  1. Cut fresh rhubarb and strawberries into small pieces.

  2. Mix 1/2 c. honey into the fruit.

  3. Place in refrigerator either all day or overnight.

  4. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  5. Mix cinnamon and 1/3 cup flour into the fruit mixture.

  6. Place fruit mixture into cooking spray prepared 9X13 pan.

  7. Mix together the remaining honey, brown sugar, warmed butter, oats, and flaxseed meal.

  8. Spread this over the top of the fruit.

  9. Bake in uncovered pan at 375 degrees until the topping is melted and browned. About 40 minutes.
