Yummy Rhubarb Pie. Mom's Recipe. Really good with a little vanilla ice cream.

Recipe Ingredients for Rhubarb Pie

218 4/5 grams Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Bleached
4 cup, diced Rhubarb
0.5 cup Lard
1 dash Salt, Table
1 cup Sugars, Granulated

Recipe Directions for Rhubarb Pie

  1. Mix 1 1/2 cups of flour with lard and salt with hands.

  2. Ass cold water, little by little as necessary to make dough malleable

  3. Form dough into 2 balls

  4. Spread flour on parchment paper and roll out dough.

  5. Line pie plate with pastry.

  6. Put 4 cups of chopped rhubarb into pastry.

  7. Mix sugar and 1/4 cup of flour and pour mixture onto rhubarb.

  8. Place 4 pats of butter on top of mixture.

  9. Cover with second section of dough.

  10. Put in oven at 400 for ten minutes.

  11. Turn down to 325 for 1 hour
