Scrumptious cake with a little bit of rhubarb and cinnamon.

Recipe Ingredients for Rhubarb Cake

1 1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c Crisco
1 egg
1 tsp baking soda
1 c buttermilk
2 c flour
1 1/2 c rhubarb, finely cut
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 c brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Rhubarb Cake

  1. Mix sugar, Crisco, and egg.

  2. Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk and add to sugar mixture.

  3. Mix in flour and rhubarb and vanilla.

  4. Spread in greased 9x13 in pan.

  5. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over mixture in pan.

  6. Bake 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
