My twist on a traditional Reuben sandwich.

Recipe Ingredients for Reuben Rolls

1/4 head Cabbage, Cooked
2 cups shredded cabbage
8 oz Corned Beef
3 serving sargento thin sliced swiss cheese
16 oz Sauerkraut
2 cup(85 g) Shredded Carrots

Recipe Directions for Reuben Rolls

Pick off 8 nice big leaves of cabbage. blance in boiling salted water for a few minutes to soften. strain to remove extra water. Chop rest of cabbage. put 2 cups into a bowl. (Use the rest to make coleslaw as a side dish.) put in 2 cups of shredded carrots with cabbage. Open 1 can of sauerkrat and drain liquid. Mix in with cabbage and carrots. Add pepper to taste. Lay out one of the cooked cabbage leaves. Lay 1 slice of corned beef long ways on cabbage. add 1 slice of swiss cheese. add a scoop of cabbage mixture. roll and close with a toothpick. repeat with the other 7 cabbage leaves. Once in baking dish. Top with remaining cabbage mixture.Top each roll with another slice of swiss cheese. bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. While baking- Toast 4 slices of rye bread. you want it crispy. Chop into crumbs. put aside. Last 2 minutes put on broil to brown the cheese. Remove from oven. Top with Toasted rye bread crumbs and Thousand Island dressing.
