Recipe Ingredients for Refried peas

1/2 cup frozen peas
1 oz Mozzarella, Part Skim Milk Cheese

Recipe Directions for Refried peas

  1. Cover peas with water in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Simmer for 10 minutes or until soft and mushy.

  2. Drain peas in colander. Transfer to non-stick pan. Dry-fry the peas over high heat, until peas begin to brown.

  3. Turn the heat down to medium, and mash peas directly in the pan.

  4. Add additional water until reaching the desired consistency.

  5. Grate cheese into the peas and stir to melt.

  6. Season with sea salt and pepper to taste.
