Recipe Ingredients for Refried Beans with Salsa

3.5 serving Goya Red Kidney Beans - Low Sodium
2 medium whole (2-3/5" dia) Tomatoes, Red, Ripe
2 small Onions
2 serving Chunky Salsa (2 tablespoons)
0.33 grams Kosher Sea Salt (Alessi)

Recipe Directions for Refried Beans with Salsa

  1. Add beans and salsa to a processor. Puree

  2. Spray a skillet with pam. Bring heat to medium.

  3. Add tomatos and cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Add onions and stir. Add kosher salt. Allow to cook until onions are golden.

  4. Bring heat to medium low

  5. Add some of the onion and tomato mix to the processor. Blend with the beans mixture.

  6. Pour all the contents from processor onto skillet and stir with the remaining onions and tomatos.

  7. Cook until beans are heated through.

  8. Remove from heat and serve as a side dish to any meat, in place of rice or starches.
