Home made refried beans in a slow cooker. Each serving is 1/2 cup.

Recipe Ingredients for Refried Beans

32 oz. Dried Pinto Beans
2 bacon (6 slices, chopped)
1 cup onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, chopped
12 cups water
2 teaspoons salt

Recipe Directions for Refried Beans

  1. Rinse and sort beans.

  2. Combine beans, chopped bacon, onion, garlic and water in 4 1/2 quart slow cooker.

  3. Cook on low setting for 12 hours.

  4. Mash beans with potato masher. Stir in salt.
