Recipe Ingredients for Red Wine Beef Stew

3 Potato medium (2-1/4" to 3-1/4" dia) Potatoes, Russet, Flesh And Skin
16 oz Carrots, Baby
5 tbsp Vegetable Oil, Canola
0.33 cup Tapioca Flour
64 oz Beef, Round, Eye Of Round
34 fl oz Wine, Table, Red

Recipe Directions for Red Wine Beef Stew

  1. Chop the onions and carrots into small chunks.

  2. Cut the beef into bite sized chunks.

  3. Saute the onions in oil until almost caramelized. Then add the carrots. Add 6T of the tapioca flour to create a "roux".

  4. Add some wine and the water. Add the potatoes and some more wine. Let this cook on medium-high until it starts boiling.

  5. Then add the meat and the rest of the wine.

  6. If you desire the broth to be thicker, whisk some of the broth with tapioca flour until you reach the desired thickness.

  7. Season with any herbs you'd like. I used a bunch of rosemary, thyme, sage, pepper and salt.

  8. Enjoy!
