Recipe Ingredients for Red Lentil Soup

1 c red lentils
3 g kelp
2 T olive oil
2 tsp ginger root
2 cloves garlic
1 medium onion
1 tsp dill
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1 T red wine vinegar

Recipe Directions for Red Lentil Soup

  1. Cook lentils with a 3" square of kelp in 5 c water for 30 minutes, or until lentils dissolve.

  2. Saute garlic, onion, and spices in the oil until onion is translucent.

  3. Add to lentils and correct seasoning.

  4. Cook another 5 minutes, add wine vinegar, and serve.
