Homemade applesauce, the Fuji variety

Recipe Ingredients for Red Fuji applesauce

2 medium Fuji apples, sliced
1 tbsp cinnamon
14 small strawberries

Recipe Directions for Red Fuji applesauce

Simmer apples with their peel and cinnamon in 1 inches of spring water for 20 minutes; add to blender with cleaned strawberries, blend to taste and serve. Can be used as breakfast or snack alone or served along with oatmeal. (I recommend alone. Star anise is a nice spice for this as well, as is a tiny tad of Garam Masala). Use organic apples and spice and strawberries in season.
