A thick red clam sauce that takes about as long as your pasta takes to cook.

Recipe Ingredients for Red Clam Sauce

1 Tomatoes, canned
1/2 Onion, Medium
2 cloves Garlic
1/2 tbs Extra virgin olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup Red Wine
1 tbsp Oregano, Fresh
1 can clams

Recipe Directions for Red Clam Sauce

  1. Sweat onions and garlic in olive oil and salt on med-high heat, stirring often.

  2. When the onions start to turn translucent, add the just the clam juice from the can and stir.

  3. Then add the tomatoes, wine and oregano and stir.

  4. Bring to a boil then turn down to simmer for 15 minutes.

  5. Turn off the heat and add in the clams. Canned clams are already cooked so just need to be heated through.

  6. Stir together and serve over your favorite pasta.
