Red Clam Sauce Recipe

Great on linguini or by itself as a soup like dish.

Recipe Ingredients for Red Clam Sauce

1 large onion, diced
1/2 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
26 ounce minced clams
1/2 cup condensed tomato soup
1 3/4 cups tomato puree
3 tbsp chopped cilantro
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Recipe Directions for Red Clam Sauce

Sautee diced onion in the olive oil over medium heat for five minutes then add garlic and saute 3 more minutes. Add mushrooms and sautee 10 minutes more. Add clams including juice, tomato puree, condensed soup, cilantro and red pepper. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to medium. Cook without cover 10 to 15 minutes, stirring frequently.
