Easy homemade chile sauce. Great on potatoes, eggs, etc. 1 serving = 2 T

Recipe Ingredients for Red Chile Sauce

3 oz 1 lb. Bag - Dried California Chiles
1 large Onions
3 clove Garlic
3 serving (Kirkland) Organic Chicken Stock
1 1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tbsp Coriander Seed
1/2 tsp Cumin Seed
2 tablespoon Oil, canola

Recipe Directions for Red Chile Sauce

  1. Stem and seed 12 chiles then soak in very hot water 15-20 minutes until soft.

  2. Heat oil over med-hi then saute chopped onions 5 mins or until translucent. Add minced garlic and saute another 2 mins.

  3. Drain the chiles and add them to the pan along with the cumin, coriander, salt, and 3 cups of broth.

  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to med-lo and simmer 30 minutes.

  5. Puree in batches in processor or blender. Makes approx 4 cups.
