Recipe Ingredients for Red beans and Rice

1/2 cups kidney beans, boiled
1/2 cups brown rice, dry
1/4 cup onion, minced
1 tsp olive oil
1/4 cup corn
1/4 cup salsa

Recipe Directions for Red beans and Rice

  1. Cook rice thoroughly. I prefer brown rice for the added texture.

  2. Saute onions in oil until translucent.

  3. Combine cooked rice, onions, and all other ingredients and heat through. Servings are modest; use as a side dish. This is often better reheated the next day after the flavors have married. I add hot sauce to mine.
