Spicey red beans served over rice

Recipe Ingredients for Red Beans & Rice

1 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 green pepper, chopped
2 tbsp canola oil
1 1/2 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp cumin, ground
1 tsp salt
16 oz diced tomatoes
32 oz kidney beans
1/2 cup salsa

Recipe Directions for Red Beans & Rice

  1. Saute first three ingredients in water or oil

  2. Add spices to taste

  3. Add tomatoes, beans and salso

  4. Simmer 10-15 minutes

  5. Serve over rice
