1 bay leaf, 1 tablespoon of Mrs. Dash, and the juice of 1 lime

Recipe Ingredients for Red Beans

1 pound dry red beans
6 cups water
1/3 cup celery, diced
3/4 cup bell pepper, diced
3/4 cup onion diced
2 tablespoons garlic, minced
10 ounces ro tel
1 tablespoon cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon coriander
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon parsley, dried
1 teaspoon thyme, dried

Recipe Directions for Red Beans

Soak beans over night. Drain and rinse beans. Add beans and 6 cups of water to pot. Simmer about 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour. Then add celery, bell pepper, onion, garlic, rotel, bay leaf, cumin, chili powder, paprika, coriander, and Mrs. Dash. Stir and simmer 30 minutes. Just before serving add salt and lime juice.
