Creamy bean soup....you can add some elbow macaroni...and more or less water according to how thick you want it to be

Recipe Ingredients for Red Bean Soup

5 cups red kidney beans
1 large onion, diced
3 ounces cabbage
10 cups of water
1 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Red Bean Soup

  1. Chop the cabbage into strips.

  2. Cook the red beans in a pan and just before they are boiled add the onion cut into quarters.

  3. Combine 3 cups of beans and the onion and 10 cups of water in the food processor until they are smooth.

  4. Add the reserved cup of beans to the mixture and the stripped cabbage and cook of 10 minutes.
