Granny's favorite meal for a quick and satifying dinner.

Recipe Ingredients for Rector Hash

1 lb lean ground beef
16 oz tomato sauce
16 oz water
1 1/2 cups rice
4 oz mushrooms
1 cup corn, frozen
1 small yellow squash
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. parsley

Recipe Directions for Rector Hash

  1. Brown ground beef in skillet. May need to add a touch of olive oil to skillet as the meat is very lean. Once meat is browned, drain off fat (if any) and add rice, tomato sauce, water, squash, corn (or any other veg.) and seasonings, to taste.

  2. Cook until rice is tender. Can add cheese to the top once liquids have evaporated.
