They're chalk full of antioxident-rich good stchuffs, not to mention fiber, and help give you a bit of pep in your step when you need a boost of energy. Not only that, but just one serving keeps you feeling quite full for a super long time. Tips/Suggestions/Notes Eating things uncooked is beneficial because you get all the nutritional benefits in their purest, most potent form. However, for those who aren't strict on eating raw and want variation, these taste wonderful baked too on a cold day. Just pop them in a preheated oven at 350˚F for about 15 minutes (give or take) and you've got warm sweetness! Also, use raw cacao, not dark chocolate for full health benefits. I just put dark chocolate so CalorieCount could analyze the recipe.

Recipe Ingredients for Raw Berry Boosting Oaty Cookies

160 g Organic Oats
26 g Wheat Germ
26 g Ground Flaxseed
1 g Sea Salt
4 Green Tea Bags, tea leaves extracted from bags and bags disregarded
56 g Dried Dates
46 g Dark Chocolate
60 g Dried Goji Berries
1 medium Apple (type isn't important), quartered
1 medium Banana
3 tbsp. Almond Butter
2 tsp Vanilla Extract
50 ml Orange Juice
70 g Fresh Blueberries

Recipe Directions for Raw Berry Boosting Oaty Cookies

  1. Save half the amount of oats for later, and mix the rest of the oats along with the other dry ingredients together. Blend dry mixture in a blender until a fine powder. Set aside. Mix all wet ingredients except for blueberries in the blender until frothy.

  2. Slowly pour small amounts of the fluid into the dry mixture and stir well after each addition. Continue until everything is well coated and a sticky "dough" is formed.

  3. Gentley fold in blueberries. Mix well.

  4. Form dough into palm-sized balls. Drop the balls into reserved oats and roll them around until well coated. Flatten each ball into little cookie shapes.

  5. Place on a plate and chill overnight.
