Homemade vanilla ice cream mixed with fresh frozen raspberries and homemade raspberry jam.

Recipe Ingredients for Raspberry and Vanilla ice cream

1 1/2 cups Fat Free Half and Half
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
1 cup sugar
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 cup raspberry jam
3/4 cup raspberries, frozen

Recipe Directions for Raspberry and Vanilla ice cream

  1. Prep ice cream maker according to instructions. (Mine has a freezer bowl that needs to be frozen a day ahead.)

  2. Mix half and half, vanilla, sugar and salt with a whisk until sugar is dissolved.

  3. Stir in heavy whipping cream.

  4. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours.

  5. Add ice cream mix to maker.

  6. Soft serve ice cream should form in 15-20 minutes.

  7. Once ice cream has thickened to a soft serve style, add raspberries and jam.

  8. Transfer ice cream to a air tight container and let it freeze for 1-2 hours.

  9. Serve!
