Cake layers with jam or pie filling

Recipe Ingredients for Raspberry Fruit Bars

1 c butter
1 3/4 c sugar
3 c flour
1 t vanilla
1 t salt
1 1/2 t baking powder
4 eggs
1 1/4 c raspberry jam
1 T water
1/2 c powdered sugar
1 T milk
1/2 t almond extract

Recipe Directions for Raspberry Fruit Bars

  1. Cream butter, sugar, & vanilla.

  2. Add eggs one at a time.

  3. Add flour, salt, & baking powder.

  4. Grease & flour a jelly roll pan and spread 1/2 the batter in the pan using floured fingers.

  5. spread filling over batter.

  6. Spoon clumps of remaining battter on top and bake 30-35 min. at 350. Cool then mix powdered sugar, milk and extract and drizzle over the top of the warm bars.
