Recipe Ingredients for Railroad Slaw

3 1/2 cups shredded cabbage
2 tbsp minced onion
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp celery seed
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup canola oil

Recipe Directions for Railroad Slaw

  1. sprinkle cabbage w/sugar

  2. whisk remaining ingredients together in a small pan

  3. bring to a boil, stirring often

  4. pour at ounce over cabbage, mix thoroughly

  5. cover and chill for several hours
