Modified from standard recipe to use Quorn

Recipe Ingredients for Quorn version of standard Chilli dish

1 tbsp vegetable oil
240 grams Sainsburys Basics Chopped Tomatoes
160 grams Sainsburys Basics Tomato Juice
960 grams Sainsburys Red Kidney Beans in Water, Drained
450 g Mince - Chilled
3 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
1 large (2-1/4 per lb, approx 3-3/4" long, 3" dia) Peppers, Sweet, Red
1 Cube Stock Cubes
1 tbsp Cocoa, Dry Powder, Unsweetened
2 1/2 grams Chilly Powder Kashmiri
3 tsp Paprika
1 tsp Cumin

Recipe Directions for Quorn version of standard Chilli dish

  1. Heat oil in pan. Add chopped onion and fry for 2-3 minutes until it goes transparent.

  2. Add spices and 1 tsp dried mixed herbs, stir in, then add Quorn mince and stir to mix. Add tomatoes, beans, stock cube and 250ml water.

  3. Bring to the boil and simmer for at least 30 minutes.

  4. Serve with 2oz/55g brown rice per person.
