Recipe Ingredients for Quorn beef paprikash

8 oz quorn beef pieces
1 medium onion, sliced
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
6 oz carrots, sliced
6 oz parsnips, sliced
4 oz swede, sliced
4 oz leeks, sliced
2 oz celery, sliced
2 oz pepper, sliced
400 grams canned tomatoes, chopped with their juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
3/4 pint water, boiled
5 grams Marigold boullion vegetable stock, powder
2 teaspoon corn starch
4 teaspoon water, to mix with starch to then add to thicken paprikash
1 teaspoon dried mixed herbs
1 teaspoon bayleaf , or 1 bayleaf
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon tomato puree
1 salt and pepper, season to taste

Recipe Directions for Quorn beef paprikash

  1. Heat the oil in a large saucepan, cook onions until soft, now add other veg and saute for 8-10 minutes on low with lid on.

  2. Now add Quorn beef, herbs, bayleaf, paprika, tomatoes and stock cook for 30 minutes.

  3. Now add the cornstarch mixed with water to thicken paprikash and serve with either rice dumplings or potatoes.
