No fuss, healthy veg breyani (biryani South African-style!)

Recipe Ingredients for Quick Veg Breyani

2 cup Rice, Brown, Medium-grain
3 cup Vegetables, Mixed
1 cup Lentils, Mature Seeds
1 large Onions
2 clove Garlic
1 tsp Ginger Root
5 1tsp Olive Oil
10 grams Authentic Indian Spice Blends
1 cup Unico Passata, Cucina Fresca
50 grams Soya Mince Dry Weight
2 tsp Salt, Table

Recipe Directions for Quick Veg Breyani

  1. Saute onion, ginger and garlic in the olive oil.

  2. Add soya mince, saute lightly.

  3. Add spices and 1 tsp salt and saute til aromatic.

  4. Add tomato passata and cook til reduced.

  5. In another pot, cook rice and lentils in salted water until soft (add vegetables towards the end of the cooking process).

  6. Enjoy with Ms. Ball's chutney
