Recipe Ingredients for Quick Turkey Chili

1 onion, chopped
1 tbsp vegetable oil
2 cloves of garlic
1 lb ground turkey
2 tbsp chili powder
2 tsp ground cumin
3 tbsp tomato paste
28 oz diced tomatoes
16 oz kidney beans
2 cups chicken broth
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 cup fresh cilantro

Recipe Directions for Quick Turkey Chili

  1. Saute chopped onion in hot oil in Dutch oven over medium-high heat for 5 minutes or until tender; add garlic and saute 1 minute.

  2. Add turkey, chili powder, and cumin, and cook, stirring often, 8 minutes or until meat crumbles and is no longer pink.

  3. Stir in tomato paste, and cook 2 minutes.

  4. Add tomatoes and next 5 ingredients. Bring mixture to a boil; cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes.

  5. Stir in cilantro. Garnish with sour cream if desired.
