A quick way to make flavored oatmeal, no instant package needed!

Recipe Ingredients for Quick Oatmeal with Fruit

1 cup dry Quick Quaker Oats
1 cup, unthawed Blueberries
11 oz Water
1 dash Salt, Table

Recipe Directions for Quick Oatmeal with Fruit

  1. Bring water to a boil. Place fruit in the bottom of a medium bowl and microwave 30-60 seconds. Stir in oats, boiling water, and salt.

  2. Let rest 2 minutes, then give it a stir and serve.

  3. For a mushier oatmeal, you may microwave for 1 minute longer, watching carefully to avoid spilling over.

  4. Serve with cream or milk, and sweetener of your choice if desired.

  5. Other fruit suggestions: sliced strawberries, chopped peaches, chopped apples, dried apples, cranberries, or raisins, walnuts or pecans.
