Recipe Ingredients for Quick Marinara

3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 onion, peeled and chopped
3 garlic cloves,
28 ounces chopped tomatoes
2 teaspoons dried basil
1/2 cup of wine

Recipe Directions for Quick Marinara

  1. Heat a pan on medium high heat with the olive oil. When hot add the onion. Saute, stirring occasionally until the onions are soft and transparent. Then add the garlic and saute 1-2 minutes more (do not let it brown).

  2. 2-Add the tomatoes, basil, and wine, and bring to a low simmer. Simmer for about 10 minutes, taste test and add salt if needed

  3. Red or white wine okay to use
