A sauce for poached egg or other egg dishes. To reduce fat content you can also use an egg substitute. You can substitute laughing cow cheese (1 wedge) for one tablespoon of the cream cheese.

Recipe Ingredients for Quick Hollandaise Sauce

3 tablespoons cream cheese, light
2 egg yolks
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon mayonaise, light

Recipe Directions for Quick Hollandaise Sauce

  1. Microwave cream cheese until soft.

  2. Mix yolks, mayonaise and lemon juice with hand held blender.

  3. Heat egg yolks, mayonaise and lemon juice over double boiler until thickened.

  4. Over low heat, add cream cheese and whisk in.

  5. Add water if you desire a smoother, thinner sauce.

  6. Put in thermos until ready to serve.
