Easy...instant brown rice mixed with canned red beans & tomato sauce

Recipe Ingredients for Quick & Healthy Red Beans & Rice

2 cups uncooked instant brown rice
15 1/2 oz dark red kidney beans
4 oz tomato sauce
1/8 tsp cumin
1/8 tsp chili powder

Recipe Directions for Quick & Healthy Red Beans & Rice

  1. Cook 2 cups instant brown rice; I cooked mine in beef broth for extra flavor. (Cook in oven safe dish)

  2. Add tomato sauce, kidney beans, & spices to taste. (I estimated the amount of cumin & chili powder, and I also added just a bit of onion powder & garlic powder)

  3. Bake in oven for approx 15 minutes, until bubbly.
