Recipe Ingredients for Quick Grits and Eggs

1 cup grits (quick)
5 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
3 eggs
2 teaspoon butter
1/4 cup parmesan cheese (or asiago)

Recipe Directions for Quick Grits and Eggs

  1. 1 cup grits to 5 cups of water to 1 teaspoon of salt

  2. Bring water and salt to a boil. Stir in grits, reduce heat to low, cover;

  3. simmer until water is absorbed, 5-8 minutes.

  4. Place in bowl.

  5. Poach or fry an egg on the side, add on top of grits.

  6. Stir in butter and grate cheese on top.
