Recipe Ingredients for Quick Easy Red Beans and Rice

1 3/4 cups (1 can) Dark Red Kidney Beans
2 cups Brown Rice
4 oz Smoked Sausages
1/2 cup Bell Pepper
1/4 cup green onion
1 salt and pepper to taste

Recipe Directions for Quick Easy Red Beans and Rice

Cook rice, but not completely (until it's half done). Add kidney beans and simmer over low heat. In a separate pan, brown and thoroughly cook the sausage. Once cooked, add the sausage to the the rice and beans. Slice the bell pepper and onions and add to rice, beans, and sausage. Simmer until rice is fully cooked and most liquid from kidney beans has dissolved. Add salt and pepper to taste.
