Makes a small batch of flaky biscuits.

Recipe Ingredients for Quick Biscuits

1 c. unbleached flour
1/4 c. butter
1/2 t. salt
1 t. baking powder
1 t. sugar
1/4 t. baking soda
1/3 c. milk

Recipe Directions for Quick Biscuits

  1. Mix dry ingredients together.

  2. Cut in butter or shortening (1/3 cup).

  3. Add milk and stir in.

  4. Turn dough out on to lightly floured board. Knead for a half minute.

  5. Roll out and cut into 1.75 circles.

  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 450 degrees.
