Quick and easy beans and rice when you need some protein, carbs, and fiber but don't have a lot of time. Has a little of a kick from the chili sauce. I recommend serving with a slice of bread and the veggie of your choice.

Recipe Ingredients for Quick Beans and Rice

439 grams Kidney Beans
1 cup Instant Rice
3 tsp Chili Sauce
1 tsp Cajun Seasoning

Recipe Directions for Quick Beans and Rice

  1. Simmer all ingredients EXCEPT rice for 5 minutes on the stovetop.

  2. While other ingredients are simmering, prepare instant rice in microwave (4 minutes).

  3. When rice is done, mix with bean mixture.

  4. Simmer all for 5 minutes on stovetop.

  5. Serve immediately.
