Recipe Ingredients for quiche lorraine

2 large eggs
2 egg yolks
1 1/5 cup half and half
1 cup gruyere cheese
1 pillsbury pie crust
4 oz. ham
1/4 cup chopped bell pepper (optional)
2 tsp. chopped chives
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black or white pepper
1 pinch nutmeg

Recipe Directions for quiche lorraine

  1. Bake pie crust in 9 inch pie plate (crimp edges) for 10 minutes at 450 degrees

  2. Sautee diced ham and lay on crust

  3. Mix eggs, half and half, salt pepper, nutmeg in bowl

  4. Sprinkle grated cheese (+ diced bell pepper, optional) over ham in crust

  5. Pour liquid mixture evenly over ham and cheese

  6. Sprinkle with chopped chives if desired

  7. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes (top will be golden and center set)

  8. Let cool and set, then serve
