Recipe Ingredients for Pyrke Family Texas Hash

2 portions lean ground beef (yield from 1 pound ground beef)
1 large onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 3/4 lb. can chopped tomatoes, undrained
2 tsp chili powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
3/4 cup raw long grain rice

Recipe Directions for Pyrke Family Texas Hash

  1. Brown meat in skillet.

  2. Add onion and green pepper and cook until tender.

  3. Drain fat.

  4. Add tomatoes and seasonings

  5. Bring to a boil.

  6. Stir in rice.

  7. Cover and simmer 30 to 35 minutes.
