Tangy and quick pasta or grain sauce

Recipe Ingredients for Puttanesca Sauce

3.75 cup Tomatoes Diced
6 oz Tomato Paste
8 tbsp, drained Capers, Canned
10 olives Napa Valley Bistro Olives
3 cloves Garlic
3 tsp Thyme, Fresh
2 tbsp Basil, Fresh

Recipe Directions for Puttanesca Sauce

  1. Sautee the spices in a bit of water on the stove.

  2. Add olives cut in half and capers. Heat through.

  3. Add tomatoes diced and sauce and stir to mix.

  4. Simmer uncovered for about 15 minutes while you are cooking the pasta or grain.

  5. Serve over pasta or grains like quinoa, rice or polenta.

  6. A bit of white wine can be added with the tomatoes to deepen the flavors.
