Spicy and low cal bread. Great for fall and winter parties!

Recipe Ingredients for Punk'n Bread, JooJoo Style w/glaze

1/2 cup wheat flour (graham)
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 cup pumpkin puree
246 grams applesauce
150 grams egg whites
1 tbsp cinnamon
1/2 tbsp ginger
1 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup powdered sugar
3 tablespoons orange juice

Recipe Directions for Punk'n Bread, JooJoo Style w/glaze

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit

  2. Grease and Flour a loaf pan, set aside

  3. Stir together flours, oats, baking soda and powder, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves in one bowl

  4. In a separate bowl; Whip the egg whites until thickened then blend in vanilla, pumpkin and applesauce

  5. Slowly pour, while stirring, dry ingredients into wet ingredients. Mix it in well.

  6. Pour the batter into the greased/floured loaf pan

  7. Bake at 350 for 45 min (or 70 minutes for larger pans)

  8. Bread is done baking when a knife is inserted in the center of the loaf and it comes out clean.

  9. After the bread cools, pop it out of the pan and set upright on a flat service.

  10. Mix powdered sugar and orange juice. Drizzle over top of cooled bread.

  11. Outside should have a nice crust and the center should be moist.

  12. I cut the loaf in 10 sections, then again lengthwise. Great this way for parties, or as a small, simple snack for around the house.
