Recipe Ingredients for punjabi chickpeas

1 lb spinach
1 1/2 c chickpeas
2 bell peppers
2 medium onions
2 T corn oil
2 T garam masala
3 jalapeno peppers
1 tsp salt
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tsp minced garlic

Recipe Directions for punjabi chickpeas

  1. brown onions thoroughly

  2. add chickpeas, garam masala, ginger, chili pepper, salt, garlic and 1/2 c water

  3. let simmer for 10 minutes

  4. While the pot simmers, chop the lb of spinach and peppers. Add to pot and cook until spinach wilts and peppers are softened to taste.
