From Prevention's Flat Belly Diet, but using milk instead of water. Recipe called for canned pumpkin, I used fresh.

Recipe Ingredients for pumpkin spiced oatmeal

1/3 cup oatmeal, steel cut
1/4 cup pumpkin
2 tbsp pecans
1/4 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp brown sugar
1 c milk, 1%

Recipe Directions for pumpkin spiced oatmeal

  1. combine ingredients in pot on stove

  2. when starts to boil, reduce to simmer and simmer 10 minutes

  3. decrease amount of cinnamon to taste, I found hid the pumpkin flavour
