I originally got this recipe from Taste of Home and just tweaked it a little. Such a satisfying start to the day.

Recipe Ingredients for Pumpkin Scones

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup cold butter
1 egg
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
1/3 cup milk
2 tbsp Dried Cranberries

Recipe Directions for Pumpkin Scones

  1. Preheat oven to 400F

  2. Combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, salt, & baking soda in a large bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  3. In a small bowl, whisk egg, pumpkin, and milk. Add to crumb mixture just until moistened. Stir in cranberries.

  4. Turn dough onto a floured surface; knead 10 times. Pat into an 8-in. circle. Cut into eight wedges; separate; and place on a greased baking sheet.

  5. Baking for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
