A thanksgiving favorite--pumpkin pie! But it is perfect for any occasion if you ask me!

Recipe Ingredients for Pumpkin Pie

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
2 large eggs
15 oz. (Libby's) pumpkin
12 oz. evaporated milk

Crust:
1 cup flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter
2/3 cup shortening

Recipe Directions for Pumpkin Pie

  1. For crust, cut shortening and butter into the salt and flour. Keep 'cutting' till it's in little pieces and then press it into a deep 9" pie pan. Mix the filling ingredients as directed on the can of Libby's pumpkin.

  2. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes. Then reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 40-50 minutes or until done. Then let cool for 2 hours before serving or refrigerating.
