Recipe Ingredients for Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cakes

1 box yellow cake mix
2 eggs
8 tablespoons butter, melted
8 oz cream cheese
15 oz. canned pumpkin
1 teaspoon vanilla
8 tablespoons butter, melted
16 oz powdered sugar
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice

Recipe Directions for Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cakes

  1. Preheat oven to 350.

  2. Combine cake mix, 2 eggs, and first melted butter and mix well with an electric mixer. Pat the mixture into the bottom of a lightly greased 13x9 pan.

  3. Filling: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and pumpkin until smooth. Add 2 eggs, vanilla, and second melted butter and beat well. Next, add powdered sugar and spices and mix well.

  4. Spread mixture over cake batter and bake for 40 to 50 minutes. Make sure not to overbake as the center should be a little gooey.
