2 loaves (1 inch slice per serving)

Recipe Ingredients for pumpkin bread (traditional)

3 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 cup sugar
2 tsp baking soda
2 cups pumpkin
2 eggs
1/2 cup oil
1/4 cup water
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp allspice

Recipe Directions for pumpkin bread (traditional)

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F

  2. Sift flour, salt, sugar and baking soda.

  3. Mix pumkin, eggs (beaten), oil, water and spices together and combine with dry ingredients.

  4. Pour into to 9 inch loaf pans sprayed with Pam spray.

  5. Bake 50-60 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.

  6. Turn out of pan and cool on a rack.
